Meet the 2026 Award Recipients
The Charitable Trust of CFUW Aurora/Newmarket promotes life-long learning and gives several awards annually to young women in our community pursuing post-secondary education. In 2026, $57,500 in awards has been given, providing many students with recognition and financial support.
These remarkable young women have demonstrated determination, leadership and a passion for making a difference.

As a mature student returning to post-secondary education, I am deeply grateful for the support of the CFUW Aurora/Newmarket Charitable Trust. This award eases my financial burden, allowing me to focus on my Practical Nursing studies, clinical training, and family responsibilities. My goal is to become a compassionate practical nurse and continue advancing my education in healthcare. Thank you for believing in my future.
The Mary Pegg Award
Mary Pegg's Legacy Lives On Through Every Recipient
Established in 2017 in memory of longtime CFUW A/N member Mary Pegg, this award celebrates her passion for education, community service, and helping young women achieve their dreams.
Through the generosity of her family, the award continues to provide $3,000 annually for up to four years to support recipients in pursuing post-secondary education.
